ProtoHouse

About ProtoHouse

A small team of engineers building automation for manufacturers.

We design, install, and support custom robotic solutions. And we understand them deeply, because we've built robots ourselves, right from the mechanics up.

Our story

ProtoHouse started where a lot of good engineers start. In the FIRST Robotics Competition and small-scale robotics, mentoring and building next to other people who loved making things move.

We learned by doing. That meant designing a custom swerve drive down to its PCB carrier board, building drones with custom electronics, laying out our own boards, and writing the firmware to tie it all together. Mechanical, electrical, software, all hands-on.

Now we're putting that same engineering to work on industrial-scale automation. That path is a strength, not a detour. We understand how robots actually work because we've built them ourselves, not just picked them out of a catalog.

The team

Two founders, two deliberately different specializations. One owns the engineering. The other owns the business.

Technical Cofounder

Rishi Mishra

Engineering, robotics design, technical execution

Rishi is the engineering force behind ProtoHouse. He works across the full stack of a machine, from mechanical design and PCB layout to embedded firmware and motor control, and has the hands-on builds to prove it: a custom swerve drive engineered down to its carrier board, drones with bespoke electronics, and the firmware that ties it all together. He designs from first principles, which is exactly why our automation holds up on a real factory floor.

Sales Cofounder

Yash Patel

Business development, customer relationships, operations

Yash makes sure great engineering reaches the people who need it. He owns the business side of ProtoHouse, from first conversation to delivered project: understanding what a manufacturer actually needs, scoping engagements honestly, and keeping operations running so the work gets done and the ROI is real. He's the reason our customers feel heard, and the reason projects don't just get built, they get delivered.

What we believe

Real engineering matters

We design from first principles instead of reselling off-the-shelf solutions. The hard engineering is the point.

Customer success is our success

We measure our work in your ROI. Cost per part, throughput, uptime. Not whether some project got marked complete.

Great automation shouldn't be only for enterprises

Small companies deserve world-class automation too. Making it accessible to them is why we exist.

Education is foundational

We came up through the robotics community, and we give back to it. Today's students are tomorrow's engineers.

Let's build something that works.
